Well I finally made it to the coastal bend and preparing to make Aransas Pass my new residence. It's been a 3 year process getting here from Bastrop and one hell of a ride! but each time I get to the beach or the flats it is such a good feeling knowing that this isn't a temporary vacation but more of a permanent one!

I will be connected to this site more than ever, gleaning all the knowledge from it i can and paying closer attention to the local issues since they will be affecting me directly now.

Most future post will be more quesitons then answers, as all my previous post but, with the level of fishing and local issue I find on this website I know I'm in good hands!

Maybe I'll start a pictorial post here called "Fishing Antics of the Newby" You seasoned locals would probably get a laugh out of them.

PS: sorry about previous post. It was copy and paste from Word and apparently it doesn't like that...

Welcome to the bend...i moved to Rockport 3last years ago and haven't looked back.

Take it from someone who grew up in C.C. and then moved further inland, don't ever leave!!!!! Now my 3-4 trips to the salt a year have replaced fishing 100 days a year and it really sucks! I'll get back there after the kids get out of school but until then I envy the hell out of you.
