Peeled shrimp under a cork , oyster works even better but its very tricky keeping it on the hook . _________________ I,d rather DIE while i,m living than LIVE while i,m dead

In my opinion i have had must luck on live shrimp fished with a fish finder rig or a small split shot.
Ghost shrimp is a favorite also just remember max limit is 25 a day for ghost shrimp.
Right now the sheepshead should be pretty thick at the jetties. |

Make sure you lick the shrimp before you put it on the hook for sheephead, don't do it after it's on the hook for obvious reasons. _________________ Mastergunner, supporter of hardheads for state fish of Texas |

Ghost Shrimp is excellent bait and sheepies love em, but so does many other fish. If u can get past the pins and piggys, go with the G Shrimp.
Live shrimp is the standard sheepie bait at the jetties during the winter months. Sheepies at Caldwell and Bob Hall should be be chewing heavily right now. The pins and piggys are normally scarce in March, so live shrimp is your best bet at the surf fronts piers. Good luck.
