paddled into the bay, went as far towards pita as i could manage...
found some decent looking water despite the brown tide..
anchored and started chumming shad and shrimp...
caught five little trout and numerous hardheads..
was getting toward the last bits of my bait when i watch a DOA rattle cork (first time ever fishing one) with half a shad go down...i get it out of the rod holder and reel into it..in just a second or two i could tell the fish had moved 30feet...i set the hook to see this fat thrashing all over...
a pretty fierce battle followed, i managed to get my net caught on everything possible...when i finally netted it i hooted and hollered for a minute...thought it was bigger than it was..
went 23inches...headed on home shortly after
biggest trout so far this year..hoping to break my biggest..(gotta get one at 27 or bigger..)

bought those shad at billings for 3 dollars a bag...i thgink it's worth it...specially because of the brown tide...my second trout over 20inches caught on a frozen menhaden in the B/T
