good article by Sikes. Seems TCEQ is pandering more to $$ than the environment. Wait, isn't their name Texas Commission on ENVIRONMENTAL Quality? what happened?

Looks like TCEQ borrowed a page from TPWD's book. _________________ E Pluribus Unum |

| Guess it depends on where you live. Personally I applaud what TCEQ did. I'm getting very tired of rainfall occurring in Kerr County somehow magically belonging to someone downstream. In my book that's not right. I think the people in Kerr County should be able to keep every drop that hits the ground in this county. We have a scarcity of water also and the water here belongs to us, not someone who lives a couple of hundred miles downstream. |

water is a tricky thing in Tx.
usually just enough for a good fight.
then God gets tired of all the bickering and floods us. _________________ the creepy uncle that scares the kids.... |

I guess this decision makes it even more important to get the
Cedar Bayou cut open.

Actually Capt., the decision by TCEQ will make it even harder for the whole Cedar Bayou project, as it takes away even more of the hydraulic head of the river flow this is essential to keep the pass open (if they ever gather enough money to dredge it to begin with). |

WOW....then everything is screwed. That's too bad, so the water becomes another hyper-saline bay system.
