Wondering what you gents are using to gauge fishing-specific conditions, weather, surf conditions, etc on your smart phone?

Only good one I've found so far is Fishing Times Free for Android.

sorry, should've described it a bit.

It's pretty basic -- gives you major/minor optimal fishing times, sun & moon up/down, high/low tide times & overall day rating (good, bad, etc) based on your location. The interface is either text-based or layed out on a Solunar clock.

sweet! might work better if you turn on your locations services, because looks like you've already missed the major feeding period....well, if you're posting this from Auckland, New Zealand...

I have a "dumb" phone, but these are what I look at home on the computer, hopefully "there's an app for that" applies.

Marine forecasts:

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=ptat2 (Click "latest marine forecast, covers most of the CCFishing area inshore, nearshore mostly, but offshore as a reference)

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=42020 (offshore)

http://www.buoyweather.com/index2.jsp (adjustable view; good for locals as you get a pretty accurate 2 day forecast for free)

http://www.tides4fishing.com/us/texas/port-aransas (blatantly stolen from someone who posted it on here, great for tides and solunar if you're into that sort of thing Razz)

Key thing here (concerning the Gulf) isn't just wave height, but wind wave and swell period. On the 42020 buoy, note steepness. 3 feet at 5 seconds is pretty crap; 3 feet at 10 seconds usually isn't bad. Rule of thumb, count on it being bigger and closer together than the forecast. Gotta love the Coastal Bend Razz

Also:

www.weather.com

www.wunderground.com

www.accuweather.com

I typically add them up and average them out.
