First, my apologies for the late post, work sucks!!!
Got the opportunity to take a couple scout leaders from SA out fishing late spring break, got out to sharkbaits turff for a couple days, caught many trout sand/speck. the evening before the last day we were at the house, south of bridge on humble catching sands and got a surprise!!!

The scout guys were a bit green, and wanted some big uglies of their own so the next day we headed to the HC (humble), and proceded to get them hooked up on some heavy weights!! If ya notice, these ole boys are doing their best to just hold on to them small surf rods!!! lol

Then the anchor gave way and we drifted across the channel.

The young scout got his chance too, but he lost it, perhaps his scout leader (dad) needs to brush up on knot ties!!! Smile

The last of the biggies!!!

...and the young scout on board (my nephew) was winnin that he was hungry so I offered him a 10 spot to eat live shrimp...and he did...can ya say survivor manchild!! Cool dude he is, a true outdoorskid(man)!

All in all, good times with family and friends!!! 3 out of the 4 big drum caught were on a combination of orange and green fishbites, one of each color, seems to work pretty well and all were released as per the scout code!

What a nice way to get away from it all. Guess there were some fishing merit badges handed out? Very Happy
