My friend is looking for someone to take his boat motor to for repairs. He said it was the impeller and a water pump. Is this an easy fix? Who do you guys go to when you you need boat motor repairs?

I've had a lot of work done by Richard Ridgeway 361-946-1751. Got the name from this board after doing a search.

I've been more than happy with him.

What size motor? Waterpumps not hard if you have any mechanical knowledge & basic tools.
Good to have a helper to lower/stab lower unit tho.

Water pump/impeller is one of the easier things to do yourself. I know, b/c I can do it and am not the most mechanically inclined. Good luck!

It's like taking your truck in for an oil change, when you could do it yourself in a matter of minutes for less money. Give it a shot on your own. Worst case you could always take it into the shop if it's out of your league.
