Approximately 80 Marines from our Marine Reserve unit on base, will be returning from Afghanistan this Saturday. They arrive at the Corpus Christi Intl Airport at approximately 1:45 p.m. There will be a Patriot Guard honor guard to greet them. They will then caravan to NAS Corpus through the North (Ocean Drive) Gate to the Reserve Center near the Main Gate where they will be greeted by their families. Anyone interested in setting up a "greeting line" along Ocean Drive will be an added welcome home bonus for them and showing their support by waving American flags along the Ocean Drive route. it's rare that we get a whole unit of service members returning from the war zone at one time. Show your appreciation if you can.

Yes, were excided that our nephew is coming into Houston Saturday and is a reserve from Conroe.

We will be down by the north gate in my good friends old army jeep / truck that he rebuilt ( PORKCHOP ) on here. He is a retired marine of 22 year just retired this year. These guy and there family give up a awful lot so we can be free. I never knew any one really close that was in the service till he and his family moved next door 7 years ago. Once u have someone that is in and u r around them every day and see how it effects them and there family u just don't under stand. I know i didn't.

These guys give up a lot but there family give just as much if not more. I have had the chance to see how his kids have grown up and changed over the last 7 years and i can tell u its REALLY REALLY HARD ON THESE KIDS NOT HAVE THERE DAD AROUND.

So get off your lazy buts and go give a little of your time to say thanks.
