|
|
Hey Guys, Does anybody have a clue when the Bull Red Run might take off this year? Being in S.A. its hard to check on the weather and fishing conditions everyday. Any clue would be appreciated. We usually fish the channel and jettys in Port Aransas. Hate to miss it. Thanks, Rik _________________ don't mess with TEXAS |

Thanks for your response, I know it can't be pin-pointed, just trying to figure out more or less, I know it's usually after the first drop in temps or a major storm in the area, We were planning to go down there the end of this month, Maybe somebody can post an Alert that its underway? Thanks again _________________ don't mess with TEXAS |

On Bolivar, between Galveston and High Island. Doesn't look the same since Ike.

| when that first major front blows throw san antonio you will know the running of the bulls is coming right after that. They move out when water temps drop. |

I don't remember which one of us it is, but I know someone one this board is a Marine Biologist.
I have a question about bull reds too: Where do they live when we stop catching them inshore. To they go offshore like the Big Uglies do? They have to eat so I'm just curious as to where they go. Thanks! _________________ Fish hard. You never know when you'll make you last trip south. |

Thanks for the link Capt Mike. I never knew a Red could live up to 40 years old. Learn something new everyday. _________________ When the going gets tough, the tough go fishing... |
