Went out in the boat for the first time since I got back. Went out around 7 to my usual spots. Wanted to get back before it heated up too bad. Caught 4 trout, a red and a bazillion skipjacks.

Headed in about 10 and made one last drift through my HH. Nothing. So I said the dreaded one last cast mantra and hooked a red. Of course I can't quit on that. "3 more casts". Well on the 2nd, another red. OK, 3 more casts. On the 3rd another trout. Being it was undersized that was the last cast of the day, finally. Finished with 4 trout and 3 reds. Reds were just into the slot so I released all of them.

Sorry, no pics, but my camera was one of the items taken with my fly gear.

So is your "one last cast" deal like the "I only smoke 1 pack a day" deal?

Cause my one last cast lasts usually 30 minutes to an hour. Laughing

Yeah, Lefty. That one more cast usually lasts as long as the final minute of an NBA game. Forever!
