Haven't been able to fish for a couple weeks and was worried about the wind and high pressure today...no worries. Done with trout by 8:30 then my bud talked me into plinking schooling drum with dead shrimp. Just don't consider that sport fishing until the drum took a similar snobbish attitude towards having shrimp dropped on their heads. It was fun and they fry up real good. Caught a too big red as a bonus...Yarborough by the ditch for trout and east for the dumb drum. Going at them again tomorrow...but not the drum.

Want to find some drum. Are they schooling shallow or just swimming deeper water?

I'm glad the fish are there, I'm going tomorrow and hope to get a box full like that! I will post pics even if it is an empty ice chest with empty cervesa cans! J/K I hardly drink on Saturdays...

They were shallow and I trolled them. if was funny, they would swim in a herd right at you. If you threw to the right they would go left. if you threw on top off them they would scatter. You had to "lead" them and with just a dead shrimp that wasn't easy...got the trout today and but it was a battle. Found the same bait at the same place/pattern but no trout. Hit a honey hole north and got my 10 but no weight to this batch...just tender fryers.
