Went out with the Dolphin Express this past Saturday night for an eleven hour trip. The weather was awsome in my opinion with seas between 2 @ 3 feet. The ride out was typical with spray over the starbord side, witch was great as it cooled us off from standing in the line to board the boat in 100 degree heat. We anchored in at the first spot when the captain announced that we were going to try and catch our limit of snapper; boy did we ever. On my first drop I pulled up about 2 feet and it was game on with one that I estimated to be 10# or so and he had no mercy. On my second drop the same thing, but after a short run and a easy haul to the boat I discovered that something else liked snapper as much as I. Seconnds after I made this discovery I coulb hear some one off the back off the boat holler BULL SHARK, I didn't see the fish but I assume it was the bandit which stole my prize. The entire boat caught a limit within 30 miniutes, so now we're off to spot # 2 and 3 to target B-Liners. This is when I wished I took my own tackle, the rods on the boat way over sized for these fish but I understand the concept. Time to head back the Captain said. I say it was the longest 12 hours of fishing I have been apart of. Not complaining at all but my feet sure did hurt.
