|
|
You use your leftover shrimp or you can buy shrimp. The first batch I made I used 2 pounds of medium sized frozen shrimp from Thailand I bought at Walmart.
1. Thaw the shrimp using water straight from the faucet.
2. Peel the shrimp.
3. Cut the shrimp into pieces about a half inch long and place them on
a fresh towel to dry them.
4. Get some pickling salt and pour a layer about |

That would sure slow down the bait stealers....
Beats having the shrimp fly off the hook when you cast!!!
Not quite sure what you going to do with em either however
You didn't say....
Great way to preserve em too
Calling on occassion overseas to Thailand, once the overseas operater said
You calling from TEXAS??? "......Ho ho ho, bang bang. shoot 'em up!!!"
By local shrimp if you can |

Same idea using kosher salt but I do not peel, just snap the heads off and place them on a cookie sheet and then sprinkle liberally with the salt. Freeze em up and then take out what you want. Use them in the surf and the reds and drum will eat them as well as whiting, hardheads, etc. In the bays the reds and drum will take them but trout are usually a little more picky with their cuisine choices. They do tend to stay on the hook longer than fresh dead. _________________ Mike |
