There is a paint base with rubber particles that you can just brush on the floor of your boat. I did it to mine and it works ok. I cant remember if I bought it from ace or home depot.

You can try Adam Stoner, he does that kind of work in the bluff 361-548-0491. There is also another place the bluff called Bluff Plastics off Waldren I know they have done an aluminum boat like you are talking about.

Take a look at this, http://www.evercoat.com/productDetail.aspx?pID=167, I used it to coat the entire deck of my bass boat. Best thing I ever did for it. Oh yeah, I put it on with a brush, you can also use a roller or spray rig if you have the right set up. Best price was here, http://www.boatfix.com/bykeywordnew2.asp?textfield=Evercoat+Skid-no-more&texttype=2 or you might check the Marine Warehouse there in the Bluff. Hope that helps....

I used the roll on bed liner sold at Walmart on my duck boat floor. It works good, but it is black and will burn you up in the summer. I painted over the black liner and it helped on the heat, but I only use the boat during the winter months. Cabelas sales the same product in numerous colors and that would be a better choice.

Why is it only rutro knows boats have decks, not floors? Rolling Eyes Try Googling non-skid boat deck paints and surfaces.

well you beat me to the punch on that one, being in the navy there are no floors, walls, bathrooms, or mops.....more like decks, bulkheads, heads, and swabs Wink

Try Durabak. It comes in cans, can be rolled on and is used for commercial marine applications. You can also get it in many colors including white and creme.

Here's my boat, done in durabak dark gray and blue:

I love it. However, I did have a problem the first time around with it...durabak sent me the NON-UV resistant material...and it faded, and became 'broken down' due to the sun. It was only used a dozen or 15 times in the time that it faded (and it was stored indoors!).

So, I got tired of the crappy looks...and re-did it, this time making sure it was the UV protected blend. It works great now...looks awesome, it's tough, easy to clean, and not too rough on your feet (some of them are harsh). It isn't dirt cheap...but less than a spray-on.

here's a link to a thread I made with the whole process of removing the old stuff and re-applying:
http://lonestarsharkers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=583&start=0

NOTE: I also realized that 80grit wasn't enough on whatever kind of tough resin BlueWave uses to make their boats. I dropped down to 36 grit and it works like a champ now. Barely remove any material though...just enough to give the material something to bite into. There is plenty of material on my boat...not sure how to go about an aluminum boat. I think they make an etching primer for it.

Hope this helps.
