The wife & I are staying at the Palm Harbor RV park in Rockport for a week.
Has anyone fished the seawall here? Got a spot front row, lazy man fishing.
The problem just surveying the situation is the boat traffic???
So I guess I need to get some bait this morning, any suggestions close by??? |

They say there is one at the marina, thanks. Going over there in a few.
Most everyone here have live bait in baskets over the wall, and of course boats too!!! |

I used to occasionally fish there years ago. At night under the lights.
Would catch trout and the occasional flounder on speck rigs and various plastic shrimp imitations. |

If it is place I am thinking of as it has been several years, we used to get redfish just dropping bait right, and I mean RIGHT, along the seawall.
We just moved around until we found them. |

That can be possible. Was going to try yesterday evening before dark, but the wind changed and was solid weed for 30 ft. out. Looks good this morning, so will wet a line and check it out as soon as get into my 2nd cup O joe.. |

Had a chance to step out the door yesterday and wet a line, started with the small pole, 30 sec. with a couple shrimp and got double hit with 2 pin perch.
Got my bait! hooked them up to the big pole, nada. Not sure how anything big would look at mine, the place is over run with bait fish.... Now today it's like a freeway out here with boats, three abreast racing somewhere??
Glad I will be here for a few weeks or more, sit and watch the races this weekend... |
