We are proud to announce that Sharkathon has finally received 501(c)(3) status after a couple of years of red tape and paperwork from the IRS! We received notification from the IRS this week, and we are excited about what this means for catch and release shark fishing. Look for more innovative partnerships, larger donations to other charitable organizations and more educational opportunities from Sharkathon, a Texas-based organization. We would like to thank all of the sponsors, participants and volunteers who have helped make this event possible over the years, and we hope to have a great turnout for this year's event with more research-based opportunities for our anglers.

Thanks to all of you, we will see you on the sand!
