Lucky!
I don't think the University has any intention on closing, unfortunately.

This just in:

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will close today (Thursday, Feb. 3) at 4 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 4, because of forecasted severe weather conditions. Offices will be closed and no classes or activities will be held during that time. Only the campus University Center and the Performing Arts Center will open Friday at noon for events already scheduled later that day. The University will return to normal operating hours on Saturday, Feb. 5, with buildings open during the weekend for students, faculty and staff. Emergency response personnel should remain available at all times if the need occurs.

Landlocked: It's not the coming warmup that has me worried, it's the bay temperatures now and the prospect of them remaining there for the next 24-36 hours. There are some places that are 5-6 C now......

Seems like that is at least one advantage of Packery. The influx of warmer Gulf water certainly can't be hurting. Water at Packery Station was 44.xf at noon. About 50 at Bob Hall.

I'm being told that some classes will go on for the professors who choose to have their students use Skype.

IF IT'S GOING TO DO ANYTHING....it needs to start. Forecast changed again. Now it's a 50% chance down from 70 %.
