With none of my buds available for a one day fishing trip from San Antonio my wife and son decided to be my fishing partners for the day.
My wife was gun hoe about leaving at 6am, but I knew that wasnt going to happen. I let her sleep in and we headed out about 10am - We hit the sand about 2pm about 2 miles south of BHP.
I took 4 rods/reels, but only fished 3 whiched proved to be plenty since I was changing out my baits every couple of minuties due to the hungry little hard heads.
The waves were a little higher than I expected and decided to just fish the first gut with all 3 rods since I was changing them out every min. Fresh dead shrimp and fish bites was the bait combo I was using.
Around 3:30pm I landed my 1st REDFISH!!!! She tapped out at 23in.
That made the whole trip and we headed out about 6pm.
