| I was also out on the north sticks, near the entrance yesterday (Sat Oct 16th 2010) in my green Tacoma. I caught 20 keeper whiting and 3 dink pomps. For a while every cast was returning a double. For bait I was using shrimp bites with shelled HEB shrimp. (the bait stand shrimp all seem to suck and be 1/2 rotten...and HEB is cheaper). Water was completely clear with very little wave activity at all. Skipjacks were not that thick. I caught 3 and kept one for bait. It was simply a beautiful day to fish and now I ran restock my now-empty freezer. |
