You need to attend the meeting to show the Park that you object to it restricting your rights at the beach, to protect such rights and to object to the manner in which the Park is being managed. The Park is using funds and resources that are desperately needed to care for the wildlife on PINS to force a speed limit reduction upon Park users. The fact is that in view of the statistical insignificance of the Park’s turtle program that any speed limit reduction will in no way affect the worldwide Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle recovery program.
Animals are dying on PINS now and the Park should be researching why. The Park is saying that resources are tied up with the speed limit reduction issue and is instructing staff to drag corpses behind the dunes instead of running tests to determine their cause of death. Here is a picture of one of the two dead deer in the 20s that is being ignored
The Park needs to be focusing on what is best for the Park, its visitors and wildlife instead of wasting significant funds and resources on a single “pet” program. Doing so is putting the welfare of the Island’s wildlife at risk. We need to know why wildlife on the Island is dying.

We need a good showing tonight at the meeting, so if at all possible please try to be there to show your non-support of the current programs considered top priority at PINS _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

| From that camera angle and the time of the year, it might be blue tounge or EHD (epizootic hemmoragic disease). Pretty common and not wide spread as die-offs go. You see it more often inland. Deer get really emaciated and weak then just can't cope with the heat and enviromental conditions. |
