Not sure how long it will last but I was out Saturday around mid night and the bioluminescent? was bright as can be. I've been on a kayak trip to a lagoon in Puerto Rico specifically for the bioluminescent? experience and saturday night here was way brighter. I had the underside of the kayak glowing were I could see 2 feet both sides of the kayak and downwards of 8" were i could see the grass. Way cool. Pretty cool to see the topwater cutting threw the water and 1 blow up with glow. Stingrays were visible when they moved through the water in knee deep water. Worth the site.

Fished Southbay with my father in law and we managed 2 limits of reds from 6pm- and back to the truck by 7:30. Got a good tip from a friend and we fished the same spot and caught'em with dead shrimp on the bottom and live shrimp under a cork. All in the lower slot. Waist deep dirty water and incoming tide near a drop off/channel. Good luck

Thanks for the report. Agree 100% on the water, ts been like that the last few days. But saturday was unreal, especially because of how calm it was, you could the glow real deep. Ive been to one of the bays in PR too near La Parguera, and the Laguna Madre was much brighter. Watching the needlefish skim the surface saturday night, it looked like glowing blue/green ribbon dancing across the water. When mullet would land from a jump, you'd have a perfect blue glowing circle when they re-entered.

As for fishing, we tried the lights for trout saturday and most were empty, but we did manage a few fish deep down on gulp swimming mullets.

I used to surf fish out there standing in the first break. It was really cool to see all of the blue/green glow everywhere! Wink

I launched at Shamrock Sunday morning and it was amazing!
The fish were darting out from under my yak in blue streaks and my paddle looked cool as it cut through the water.
Neat experience. I saw a rainbow over the C.C. bay later that morning while I was still out there also.

That alien blood has been thick for a couple of weeks now.

When I throw castnet in water, the glow reminds me of those squid in the deep you see on TV when net closes.

Not good for the bait fish, as I see where they swim to.

It is awesome and a good experience. My kids go crazy!
