Put in at Marker 37, picked up some live shrimp there then got some piggyperch from the piggyman under the jfk bridge an headed for shamrock, caught 1 red there then decided to make a run for traylor island and im glad i did. I fished the deep potholes out to the ICW and caught a limit of keeper trout and 4 nice flounder. All fish were caught on pigs. I ate the shrimp. great day on the water hot as hell but still great Very Happy

Thanks for the news
I am getting ready to head over to t-island with the kids.
Do you have any details that would help like time of day , tide and rigs
Copano bay has been slow. Long reef has also been slow.

I,m not much of a tide watcher I go and adapt to whats happening. That day carolina rigged piggyperch worked in the deep potholes, who knows about the next day or even th next hour. Just go silently hunting for em (no bangin splashn or runnin the motor within 200 yards of where you are goin to fish, pole or drift in and make long casts 70 yards or so works best shorter will work if the water is not too clear and you are quiet. The fish are there just very spooky. Good Luck

Good report. You did a lot of running all the way to AP and back but it sounds like it was worth it.
