How do you fish?
1. when they work the trout, some fisherman do cast in that area. I have caught trout when they heard trout to try to eat.
2. Some see Porpoise and just leave - yes, I have had trout remove from my line (I then leave) _________________ Happy Hook'n

the "dolphin" will work up and down the channels and normally push the trout and reds into the skinnier water In my experience. If you are fishing the channel they will steal your fish..
We don't have Porpoises in this area. |

Hey Coach, If the dolphins start to hang around the boat, or me when wade fishing, I usually just stop fishing untill they leave. I have turned loose trout before only to watch flipper get an easy meal. If the bite turns off, which usually does for awhile, after flipper shows up, I will wait 30 mins or so and move to another spot if the trout don't come back in... I have never had flipper herd anything towards me except a wake from them playing.....

| It depends on how many dolphins and what they are doing as to whether or not they will screw up the fishing. If they are running in pods and feeding.... trout and reds are gone. If it is singles or pairs and they are just cruising, no problem. I've had dolphins hang with me when I was on trout. Rather get all excited and start feeding, he just hung with me waiting for me to catch them and release them. he snagged every undersized trout I caught and released that afternoon. He followed me for about 2 hours that day. |
