I have seen threads in the past in this regard. I had understood there was an optemetrist in Corpus that came highly recommended for polarized prescption sunglasses? As we baby-boomers age, I need all the help I can get. I'm tired of having to take my Ocean Waves off every time I need to tie a knot or untangle a backlash.

I did catch limits of reds to 26" Memorial Day Weekend behind Mustang Island wading in shin deep water throwing Sppok Jr. Also, 1 trout @ 21". Saw several large trout 24"+ but were not eating anything I was chunking. School is out Friday and I'll be at our condo most of the summer. See 'ya on the water!

I get all my costa's at Reliable Optical off everhart. Dont think you would be able to get a costa lens that is a bifocal though. They would have to use a kodak polarized lens.. If you have your script they can put new lenses in your ocean waves.. g luck

I was at John Gills shop (Bay Area Vision in Moore Plaza) the other day and he had a Costa display case, so I am guessing he can do RX.

You can get Costas with Bifocal RX lens. But bring a wad of cash.

from what I have seen you can get a bifocal costa lens yes.. But you can choose from +1.75 or +2.50. It is my understanding those are the only options. If your regular focal lens requires a prescription as well that's when you have to go with a custom lens. I could be wrong as I have been many times before..

I dont know anything about the 1.75 or 2.50. I have a pair with bifocals... I could have been lucky and only needed a script for those numbers. I really should ask more questions at the Drx office....

Wiley X from Reliable. All I can say is excellent service for over four years know. Lenses warrantied against scratchs for a year. Last year, I dropped mine at the hooks game and there was a very little concrete scare on both lenses, they replaced them with no questions asked, even after I told them what really happened. I got them back in about three days.

Try T. Roberts Optical

Ask about their in-house custom lenses. They're basically an improved version of the Costa Del Mar Vermillion. I haven't gotten around to buying my dedicated prescription fishing glasses yet, but when I do, he's got my business.

for about $20 you can use these:

Just stick them on your polarized sun glasses and you have instant bifocals. I think Roy's sells them.

I loved my Costa wbi-focals,but very pricey.
When needed to replace with new prescriptions a buddy had told me about his experience with GuideLine, less than 1/2 the price.
So I went there, and have been very satisfied with them, did I say less than 1/2 of the Costas? Wink
check them out.
