"Reds still hitting at the boat hole landed 5 keepers today"

And the daily limit on Reds is????? THREE, WITH A FOURTH IF OVERSIZED AND TAGGED.

One can only ASSUME the extras were catch and release or at least 2 people in party fishing.

Hi Luke, I tried once and its a long paddle bro. I'm saving for a shallow water flat bottom boat next Smile Reds at the boat hole are running by the island facing Dimmit Pier.

Primarily there are hitting in the evening 5:30pm-9:30pm on the bottom freelining on mullet. They put up a big fight as they run into the deep area once they are hooked Wink

There is no 4th fish in a limit. The oversized fish still counts towards your daily bag.

That actually changed a couple years ago....see note "b" at the bottom of the page.

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/annual/fish/limits_saltwater/index.phtml#**

b Red drum special regulation: During a license year, one red drum over the stated maximum length limit may be retained when affixed with a properly completed Red Drum Tag and one red drum over the stated maximum length limit may be retained when affixed with a properly completed Bonus Red Drum Tag. Any fish retained under authority of a Red Drum Tag or a Bonus Red Drum Tag may be retained in addition to the daily bag and possession limit as stated in this section.

My bad. I guess I should read the fine print better.
