i just got a 14/0 and i was wondering what kind of line or lbs line i should put on it.. i was thinking 100 lb but im not sure... thanks for all your opinions.... Mike

Most say best set up is 10 yards of 125# mono on spool followed with 500 yards of 150# Powerpro braided (backing), top off with 125# mono or co-polymer (resists abrasion better). Use low vis green line.

Learn to tie the best knots you can between braided and mono. These knots must be able to run thru your rod eyes. (possible problem with roller guides with some knots).

alright thnaks yea when i got it it has about 20 yards of mono and about 400 yards of 120lb power por and i wanted to top it off with 100lb mono... and i can tie pretty good knots hopefully i can make em small enough to make it through the eyes lol.... thnaks alot Mike

Ah, maybe you were the one that bought the setup I was wanting to buy Smile I couldn't though, already spent alot of money on some other rods/reels last weekend otherwise I would of picked it up.
