... Arctic airmass will bring much colder temperatures to south Texas
late in the week...

A strong cold front with Arctic origins will move into south Texas
Thursday morning... ushering in strong north winds Thursday and
much colder temperatures Thursday through Saturday. Wind gusts
over 45 mph are possible on Thursday... and will combine with
temperatures falling into the mid 30s to produce wind chill values
in the low to mid 20s across south Texas Thursday afternoon. There
will be a chance for light rain behind the front across south
Texas Thursday morning... with a slight chance sleet could mix in
with the rain along and north of a Cotulla to Mathis to Rockport
line.

The much colder airmass will produce a hard freeze for most inland
areas Friday and Saturday mornings. The threat for a freeze along
the immediate coast is greatest Saturday morning when winds
become lighter.

Residents should prepare for the possibility of very windy conditions
on Thursday and freezing temperatures from late Thursday night
through Saturday. Sensitive plants and animals may require
protection and a hard freeze away from the coast can damage
outdoor plumbing.

Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio... local media... or commercial
radio for the latest on this bout with winter weather. Or visit
our website at weather.Gov/corpuschristi.

Thanks for the forcast Tyler. I spent my 40th. B-Day fishing from the N. Stix to Port A and every where inbetween. Caught a bunch of piggies and had a good time.
Had a bunch of adult beverages. Hope somebody had better luck.

I'm w/ you. The fish should definately move into the winter spots after this front pushes through.
