Looking to change cell phone carriers since my contract is up. Anybody have any feedback regarding Cricket Wireless. Looks like they have an umlimited plan for $35.00/month. Just wondering if its one of those to good to be true scenarios. Currently with Tmobile an Verizon and they are ok but this could save me some cheese if there is actually coverage.

go to there website.. coverage area is limited.. then you have premium service.. then it is roaming.. so if you go to the beach... well guess what area that might be... roaming.
if you are only in town and do not travel outside your main town area.. not bad service.. but just step out of your city coverage area and well ... welcome to the old AT&T GOT YOU GOOD>>

To each his own, but I personally use AT & T, because there are very very few places that i do not have reception. Several friends have all the other providers, but from the Del Rio deer lease a few years back, to the fishing cabin, vacation in the hill country, etc. Some one always borrows my phone because theirs has no signal.

I think Cricket is ok like some of the others, if you stay in the immediate Corpus Area.

my two cents worth

good luck

I thought about switching until I saw the very limited overage area, and found three page of complaints online : http://www.complaintsboard.com/bycompany/cricket-wireless-a944.html

Let me make a correction or clarification../
Yes, if you have AT&T I have only found one place that there is no cell signal and that is the little taco place off of ih35s close to Cotula.. no cel signal for about 1/4mile.. AT&T has about the best coverage are out there hands down..

I do not use AT&T any more since i recieved a $700 bill 10 years ago.. but the mrs has AT&T and does not use the phone anywhere near as much as I have to.. Might have to change back to AT&T if I can get a package comparable to my T-Mobile.. but have had bad experiences with them, but that is prabably more of an exception than normal practice with AT&T.

I have TMobile and love it...Excellent coverage. Reasonable prices...We even have a home phone through them for $10/month....

TMobile customer service is hands down the best I have ever dealt with. Had them since 2004. All other companies I dealt with were a ripoff..Especially Sprint!

Verizon has never failed me. I even go off shore and have coverage. Not far. Never have found any dead zones. But then all I use it for a phone, nothing fancy.

Daughter had Cricket for unlimited and texting, but a lot of dead zones.

I have my phone with an independent. Laward cell, here in Victoria. They pick up off of AT&T and T-Mobile towers. I have no problems getting service
