I have found out over the years and probably a million or so casts later that a pumpkinseed works great in all conditions but its just not the plastic , its the presentation that is produced buy the guy wearing those crocs and working that rod. They say dark day dark lure not always the case though.  _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

It sure is interesting how many different people prefer different colors and lures.
I have seen tackle boxes from successful fishermen that don't have any of the same lures or colors that I fish with.
In my opinion, most of the time the color does not make a big difference. I feel like more often, the lure and of course the presentation to be the biggest factors though I definitely have seen clear water conditions where the 21 and 18 Mirrolures worked better than the more colorful ones.
And to top it off, the fishing always seems to change. I remember years ago where everyone was tearing up trout on the North Jetty on little green shrimp tail jigs. In recent years, you can still catch some on them, but usually the longer Trout Killers, and Norton Sand Eels produce more fish. |
