Just wanted to let everyone know that there are some low life, bottom dwelling, scum suckers lurking around the Bluff durng the wee hours of the night. Twisted Evil My wife woke me up about 4:30 am on Wednesday morning telling me there was somebody in the front yard with a flashlight. Shoes, shirt, pants and pistol in hand I went to investigate. When I turned the light on and stepped outside all I heard was CCPD!!! I guess he wanted me to know that he wasn't the bad guy.
He informed me that my truck had been broken into (2nd time in 5 months) and my neighbors car had also been broke into. I was furious!!! I looked around and nothing was gone luckily for some reason I had forgot to lock it so they didn't have to pop the door handle like they did before. But the cop said he thinks they scared them away from my vehicle when they pulled up to my neighbors.

The officer was extremely helpful, and told me that he had already filed the report and that if I discovered anything missing to call and they would amend the report. I don't recall his name but I would like to extend a heart felt thanks to him for being at the right place at the right time.
I havent talked to my neighbor yet to see what kind of a loss he took, hopefully nothing that can't be replaced.

I just wanted to pass this on to you guys so you can keep an eye on your stuff and maybe next time our friends in uniform will catch these A$$HATS and get them off the streets and out of our neighborhoods.

I've noticed a lot of unsavory characters walking around the back of the bluff late at night. Sorry to hear about your truck.

Unsavory is such a polite term, but I know that topdog can't express his true feelings on here. However I also have notice the encroachment of walking dung in the area in which I live. As the trees are cut down for future developement the animals move to new locations, so does the scum.

walking dung? Shocked Leave it to IMS to put it in terms that even they could understand. But I am surprised that they can stack it that high. However, I am familiar with the orifice that it extrudes from as I have worked with and dealt the many of them, and yes been robbed by them.

Luckily I didn't have anything in my truck or my boat at the time. Plus I'm just glad that Corpus Christi's finest happened along when they did.
I hate the fact that we live in a society that kind of turns its back on thievery. I've been told by people I work with "well at least you have insurance..." yes I do but that is not the point, this is MY STUFF, I bought it, with my hard earned money. I don't want to have to go through the hassle of filing a claim, paying my deductable, having my insurance rates go up, all because some scumbag decided he wanted my stuff. I know the economy sucks right now, but that doesn't give people the right to steal other peoples stuff!!!

Sorry to hear about the trouble Jody. At least there was no damage this time. That kinda thing really ticks me off, people like that are why I cant even get a bit to eat after hunting or fishing unless I park and sit where I can see the truck and boat for fear that I might loose fishing gear or worse. Hope CCPD catches those people soon so you can sleep a little better at night!

I have lived in the Bluff for 8 years now. And for that 8 years, there's always been the usual riff-raff floating around the Bluff wandering aimlessly through time, but for the most part they have kept to themselves. Well, I think that is all starting to change, at least through my eyes it seems to be. I have seen what I believe to be prostitution going on, drug deals, drug users, and burglary on a scale I don't remember seeing it before. I live on a quiet dead end street two blocks from the police substation on Waldron and for the first time in 8 years, some scum bag decided my neighbors' property was better off in his hands. And no, he didn't go sneaking around at night knocking out a window. He parked in front of the house, walked up, kicked the door in so hard that pieces of the door were found on the other side of the living room, stole a big screen television, and didn't leave until he noticed one of my other neighbors coming back from walking his dogs. My dog-walking neighbor got about 200' from where the burglary was happening and the guy noticed him coming, got in his car and drove off. What kind of gall does it take for someone to do this at 4 o'clock in the afternoon? Imagine what his crimes will escalate to? It's sad. I see this area deteriorating before my very eyes. Thanks for letting me get on my soapbox.

Sonny

"Change: We Can Believe In"

Same ole crap, different day -- except the only change you have is nothing other than a different fiscal policy, either the government robs ya with a super-duper oh-so-swell wealth redistribution plan, or your poor(er) neighbors will do it with out a ballot in hand. Confused Either way you lose!
