does anyone have or know anyone who has a light box for viewing 35mm slides. trying to convert them to digital w/o spending the big bucks to have it done professionally. would be willing to purchase if anyone is getting rid of one, but really just need to borrow it for a few days. thanks in advance.

Last time I checked Costco was extremely cheap and they do a professional job. Not only that, they put your slide of a CD.

If you have a flatbed scanner, you can try to scan them in in one of the higher-resolution modes. I know a lot of scanners claim to be able to handle both slides and negatives.
