I hardly ever see any reports of trout coming out of the surf except on Sandifer's page.
Do any of yall fish for them in the surf in the winter? I have tried but catch so many more fish on the Port A N Jetty that I reserve PINS in the winter only for camping. |

Oh yeah I like to fish for them in the surf during winter, you can catch some fat ones then.
I think Billy is the only guide that goes to PINS so it's no surprise you don't see others talking about it. |

Tyler used to be a winter trout hunter on PINS. And he used to be pretty darn good at it too. I love going with him when he used to go, several years ago. But I heard he quit fishing a couple of years ago. Ain't that right Capt Paw Paw?
j/k... Seriously, Tyler knows how to do it. And there are a whole bunch of folks on here that know how to do it and are successful at it. |

The winter trout fishery has dimished drastically over the past few years. Not too common to slay the pigs in the winter any more. Still a few out there, though. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |
