| Here's a question for you guy's . Just how far off a paved road do you have to be to build blinds and duck hunt? I am just asking because I pass one on Laguna shores every morning on my way to work that looks like its only about a hundred yards out in the bay. |

| I'm not an expert, but if it's in the bay, it's in state owned water and legal to hunt. I would recommend it be positioned such that your shot does not fall on private property though. |

| I built that blind you are speaking of, and yes its about 130 yds from the road. 100 yds minimum. It is facing the island which is the only direction we ever take shots! |

| I just called the Game Wardens office on Bear Lane and they told me there is no set distance from roads or neighborhoods. You just can not shoot over the road or directly at a neighborhood if you are close. |

Hey Guys thanks for all the information. Good luck to everybody that is going out this weekend to try and bring down a few ducks.
I wish I was gonna be able to go but my best friends wife suffered a stroke this week so I have been trying to help them out as much as possible. She is only 27 and they have two young children. Anybody that could spare the time for a quick prayer for her would be greatly appreciated. |

Every now and then it rains shot at my house on Lola Johnson, I don't care. But I have a neighbor that does. But I keep him calmed down and insure him the sky is not falling. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

I saw this post the other day and I couldn't remember so I started asking around. The TP&W says it's "a safe distance" from homes and highways.
They directed me to the City of Corpus Christi....there is an ordinance
that says ....1000 ft. ....from homes and highways.
Hope this helps.
