Drove by there a couple of hours ago and the only one working was a guy with a metal detector.

No equipment on site.
The only difference from the last time I looked 3 weeks ago, was that it looked like the rest of the old asphalt (not a lot) has been removed.

well theyre only hurting themselves.... losing money during the time in the Fall when the fishing is best. It is very frustrating though- I've been wanting to fish that pier.

The people running this county and park services are obviously idiots and incompetent and need to be replaced. They keep pouring public funds down that rat hole fairgrounds in Robstown that noone uses, but can't seem pave a parking lot so everyone can use a fishing pier that is very popular. Something is wrong with this picture. On top of that the parking lot isn't even needed right now.

I have gave up. all I get are lies, I don't understand just tell the truth, the camp grounds are empty, yes they are losing money your money, if no one calls the park office nothing get done.

They lost our money. We were coming down this week but with the pier closed we canceled our trip will try again this spring. Sure wish we lived there again i miss it.

I understand but my wife is recovering from Cancer and the pier is easy for her to get to. If it was me i would have my Yak and fish anywhere.
