| Sometimes I Use Two At The Most But Even Then I Feel Thats To Many... Most Of The Time People With That Many Rods Dont Really Know How To Fish The Water Correctly Chances Are You Will Catch More Fish Cause Your Putting More Time In To What Your Doing! Thats If They Leave You Any Water To Fish HA HA HA.... |

There are a couple of groups that like to fish redfish off the end of the south jetty. they do use a lot of rods, but usually they're nice about sharing their space. I do feel it's overkill, but until there's some rules out there...................As for the guys that set up on the North jetty. Not nearly as considerate when they've got their spread out. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

I am too uncoordinated to use more than one. I always get my self in more trouble

Is why I rarely fish piers or jettys. Heck I only use 2 poles when fishing the surf, which is spread out for miles! _________________ -STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!- |

Some times two poles gets to be too many if the fish are biting. _________________ Fishing and Kayaking its a rough life but somebody has to do it. |

When the Family and I are out there, I hate to snug in next to someone. My son isn't the most patient and relaxing one to fish next to. I find it hard to manage 2 poles in the water and keep up with the rest of the family.
I've talked to a few people out there who say "So what, fish over the top of them". Haven't done it, but it is an option. Usually my son will drive them to pull in their lines before too long.

| THE KIND FISHING THEY ARE DOING (BULLREDS) IT IS BETTER TO HAVE MORE BAIT IN THE WATER. WHEN THE BITE IS LIMITED , THEY WILL HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF CATCHING AND FIGHTING A GOOD FISH. IT IS NOT THAT THEY ARE BEING RUDE OR MEAN ETC THE MORE BAIT OUT SITTING ON THE BOTTOM THE HIGHER THE PERCENTAGE OF GETTING THE BIG ONE. |

That is for PINS only. Any other restrictions should be posted on the pier, jetty or area you are fishing. TPWD only regulates and limits freshwater devices to a total of 100 hooks and shows nothing for rod and reel in saltwater. |
