| Went up to Robert Lee (30 miles North of San Angelo). Hit a large body 8 point (should have been a 9 as left brow tine broken off). Hope to have a picture tomorrow. Saw lots of nice deer. Good bodies and nice racks. |

| I have been everyday since the opener and have only seen two does. They were about 200yards in thick brush and i didnt have any sticks to rest my rifle on for a standing shot. I tried to sneak up on them and i spooked them:( Maybe tomorrow will be better |

Jeremy, You don't need any stinking sticks, they're for us ol' guys and we only use them for walkin' D |

| Yeah yeah yeah! I probably could have taken the shot but i would prefer not to wound one and not find it. I only had about an hour of daylight left. I am going to bring my 30-30 next time i think it is a better gun for standing shots i tried dry firing it a few times with a hundred yard target and it seems to hold tighter to my shoulder. |

No, I spent the weekend at the shop working.
I had a few small bucks come in for shoulder mounts. |
