Headed out to Shamrock this morning by myself. Walked back into a spot where I'd seen some Teal and Pintails during Teal season. Thirty minutes before sunrise, guys start shooting, a lot. There were some ducks, but most were flying really high. There were also a ton of people out there. From hearing calls and shots, i could tell where at least 7 different groups were. Never saw the other groups, but did watch a bunches of ducks circle, fly in, get shot at and fly away several times. Looked like the ducks were winning. Only saw three go down. I didn't even get to shoot at any ducks, so I'm sitting on a big Goose Egg so far. Guess I'll just have to go hunting again tomorrow. Saw mostly Redheads with a few Pintail, Teal and a couple Widgeon. Hope somebody else did better!

Went out to shamrock for an afternoon hunt. Same report. No ducks shot at, all flying too high and real decoy shy. Two other groups were out looked like they were shoting for those ducks anyways and not hitting any. Even the ducks sitting on the water would swim towards our decoys and then swim away way out of range. The Game wardens were out and stopped by all of the groups to check everything so make sure your license, duck stamp, and Hunters Ed. is all up to date. Hopefully we will get some better duck hunting weather soon.
