for the opener? We've been getting tons of activity on the game cams during the offseason. Tons of hogs, deer, rams, and few turkeys here and there. We have hunted brackettville for about 30 years and always have had lots of turkeys. About 10 years ago not a single hog was ever sighted and no signs. Now they are litterally every where. We are up to 91 not including several misses since last deer season. Id say we have our share of pigs. Only problem is ever since the hogs starting to show up our #'s of turkey have been going down hill big time. Im thinking its because of all the hogs possibly eating the eggs? Anyhow, this will be the 1st opener that i am going to miss in about 15 years. Lets just say im not that stoked. With Halloween being Friday and my 4 1/2 daughter having a cheerleading competion this weekend the law (other half) made it clear i have no choice but to be there this weekend. That and with my little one asking if im going to go watch her makes it a little tough to say no i wont be there. Unfortunately i have to suck it up and wait till the following weekend. I already told the law if i cant go this weekend im gone every weekend till january! Laughing Today its pretty chilly here in SA, not sure about ya'll but this weather gets my blood pumping and pumped up cuz i knows "its time"! Be safe out there. Dont forget to check for ticks when you get home! hope everyone shoots straight. Post up the reports for those who get out!

Rickey

I'm counting down the days. My Brother kinda dropped a bomb on me when he informed me of his Halloween/engagement party that will take place Friday night in Austin. He's my brother so I cant miss it, so I will be making the haul gear and all up there only to turn around and head back to the ranch in the early am Sat. Very Happy Good Luck to everyone
