Put my friend's boat in the water about 3pm and headed out to the end of the North jetty to tangle with the bulls. I was betting on some decent action prior to the cold front, and it was pretty good.
We caught 4 bulls, one being in the mid-to-upper 30's, and the other three almost identical 42-44" range.
LOTS of smacks around; boated three big ones for dinner and broke off tons more.
Saw one guy in another boat anchored off the end of the North jump off a small tarpon, but we didn't get any tarpon bites. It's been pretty good over there lately, especially in the evening.
Also hooked a big sting ray that I fought for about 30 minutes before getting it to the boat and cutting it off. Probably in the 30 pound range.
