Rich win out

Once again, the rich scam over the "silent majority." They put on a slick ad campaign showing a young child on the beach. The lines read, " It's about time, it's about fairness."

They don't expect us (the working class) to be smart enough to read between the lines, to remember what happened to California and Florida, where the rich own most beaches and the rest are "paid parking and easy access" for the working class.

Read the bottom of the slick expensive full-page ad for a "pedestrian beach." It's paid for and supported by the people who will benefit from beginning the closing off of the beach. And, gee whiz, who paid for the Packery Channel project that tripled the value of the rich island homes? We did! Our taxes paid for this benefit to the rich, and soon to be richer crowd now wanting to legalize paid parking for closed off easy access beaches.

This rich developer is going to invest big bucks in the area that our taxes made more valuable so he can make a major profit, not because he wants to help us.

We, "the silent majority" working taxpayers, lose once again. Sign the petition to keep the beaches open to the taxpaying working class.
