| I've got a 2000 Haynie 21' Tunnel that was buily by Mr.Haynie and love it. I was looking at buying a 2002 23' Bigfoot but have heard that they were not being built by Mr. Haynie anymore and the guy that started building them wasn't using treated wood from 2002-2005. Does anybody know if this is true or just a rumor going around? |

Haynie Boats is owned by Chris's Marine.....Mr Haynie still builds the boats
and does the same quality work as always. They have added a couple of new styles....

I believe Mr. Haynie got out of the boat building business for a while... maybe around 2000, and didn't build boats for a few years when they had a different owner, but Mr. Haynie is building them now, and they're very nice, quality boats.
Chris over there is also well known for great customer service. |

| I am aware that Chris' marine is making and selling them and they are great boats because I own one and love it. I am just curious if anybody else has heard about certain year models that were not being made by Mr. Haynie but were built by a guy named jeff. I heard those year models you want to stay away from. I'm not sure why or if its true. Mine is a 2000 model and was built by Mr. Haynie. The one I want to by is a 2002 and I'm not sure who built it. |

ask Chris Coulter at Chris's marine. I'm sure he knows he exact year models. But to answer your question.... yes, I've heard that.
He might not tell you in an email that a certain person built boats in a certain way for liability reasons, but he'd probably tell you in person. |
