Got on water about 10a.m. and was off about 5p.m. We had several break offs fishing lite tackle(20 lb. test) close to a few rigs about 7-8 miles out ESE of the jetties. But we caught some triggers,a monster angel fish,a few croackers,smallskipjack,small blue runners,yellow tails,piggies and a bunch of throw-back 8"-12" red snappers.

There were people catching kings on ribbonfish and trolling, but all we had was squid and no luck trolling crankbaits.
Also seen some Ling, but couldn't get them to bite. Unfortunaltely, the small bluerunners, yellow-tails and piggies we put it live well died before we tried to use them for bait. The areator at some point got cut-off and didn't realize it before to late.
But had a blast and fun just to be on the blue water with 2-3 seas.
And actually, found a gas-station in Corpus that had gas for $3.49 a gallon...

Also, other boats were catching a lot of Kings east of jetties about 6 miles out around an anchored big orange-red tanker on mostly ribbonfish, but seen someone hook a small one on jigs. Also, saw a few areas of birds working bait on the way out..And believe there were small sharks working bait to the top, being we seen some fins surfacing on the bait. Seen a few small 2'-3' hammerheads caught,kings and Lings at the rigs also. A lady caught a nice Ling there, 3 to 5 feet from surface on dead shrimp.

Well with no pics of water, being I forgot my camera. Just thought I'd at least share pics of the fish caught. The long silvery fish in the middle, I thought was a Pompano. One guy we asked said it was a Pompano also and very good to eat. As I already knew or heard anyhow, being I've never caught or ate one. And another said it was a Skipjack and no good to eat. But the meat looked good to me and very tender texture to it...It's been so long, since I've caught any Triggers or an Angelfish. I couldn't really remember which was better eating. I know they were both edible anyhow. But the smaller Trigger fish filets in pics, seemed to be much whiter meat. And now that I think about it, there excellent to eat. And actually threw back a dozen or more smaller ones back.
Will find out how they taste tomorrow, got all soaking in milk+eggs tonight. Regardless, fresh fish caught put on ice. Fileted right out of ice from 1 day caught, you can't go wrong IMO. Also catching and eating species you haven't caught or ate in ages, Priceless...

And yes, I'm bored to death. Stuck at home, with nothing to do.
But finally realizing I can record video on my camera. I'm fixing to record a few songs I wrote, and try to put them on YouTube.
