We hit the pack jetties at 7:00 a.m., but there was so much bait in the water, fishing was impossible, so we headed down south. Right at the entrance to the beach where the blacktop road hits sand on PINS, there was a 6 pt. buck jut standing there eatin away. He must've known he was in a protected area. He still had velvet on his antlers, and let us sit and watch him for as long as we wanted. Very cool.
We set up at around the 22MM, and get a couple of long rods out with cut mullet. I notice a white truck with a white kayak on top, and think to myself "that looks like Kadiyaker", but I just waved, not knowing for sure. Anyhow, no luck with the fish or sharks. The water was pretty dirty. There was'nt any seaweed, just murky water. I wish I had taken my kayak. Then at the traffic light going to wash the Jeep, I pulled up next to a familiar looking suburban. I said hi to the Oz man, which was yet another cool sighting! (My girlfriend thinks I'm a dork).
Hopefully some fish to report next time. Later.

| I was there that same morning, and at sunrise, we saw two nice 8 pts and a 10 pt buck all together, slowly leaving the beach and going over the dunes as if they had not a worry in the world. |

If you saw the Blue F150 Crew Cab w/ the unmistakable "Southern Engineered" white PVC yak Rack w/ a Red Hobie on top that was me...comming back from down south. _________________ Vegetarian (n)...Old indian word for bad hunter |
