Man was that some awesome flat clear green water or what? Saturday morning at the rocks brought several Redfish and a few Flounder on live finger mullet, but the bite died around 10:00am or so. I went back Sunday morning around 9:00am expecting to see the hole by the rocks full of fishermen, but there was not a person in the water. I was really excited to be the only one in the water and conditions were perfect, bait everywhere, mullet, perch, rain minnows, but couldn't buy a bite for three straight hours and I tried everything including a new red head super spook. The water was so clear that you could see all the new plant life growing on the rocks and there were many fish that I have never seen before. Also saw some of the biggest blue crabs ever just off the rocks near shore(wish I had my dip net). Anyway, something was swirling up the water and busting rain minnows just over the 1st bar past the hole but I couldnt get them to hit anything I threw at them(mabey some little Tarpon). Anyway lot's of people on the beach and the BBQ was great as usual.
later,
Ernie

P.S. The crews are going at it hardcore on the rocks with the heavy equiptment, and the cop who loves to run people off the rocks was parked by the base of the jetty just waiting for someone to make his day. I was lucky enough to save one guy from an a$$ chewing and waved him off the rocks just before deputy dawg arrived.

Thanks for the report Tarzan, that water sure did look nice there. We stopped by there around 12 to net some bait and there was green water nearly at the beach. Im alwost certain i know the spot u are talking about and have done very good there on flounder and reds also. For some reason i had an urge to try closer to PINS that day with hardly any luck. The water near pins was actually dirtier than the rocks go figure. Should have tried there 1st.
