I sat in a blind a couple hours yesterday. As i was leaving i saw what looked like a doe. I took off my safety and looked for him through the scope. I found him after a minute or so and realized it was a nice buck. I never shot a deer nor have i been deer hunting before this. my heart was pounding it took like 2 minutes before i could shoot i was breathing so heavy. I actually had to sit down for a minute before taking my shot. I shot him with a 25-06 and he ran for about 30 yards and dropped. It was about a 70 yards shot but i must say it was the shakiest shot i have ever took. I had to drag the buck about a quarter mile back to my truck with know help since i went out alone! I then struggled with gutting him and skinning him. Now he sits at the processor!!!!!!!!!! I have tried to post pics on here before and was unsuccessful but i will try again!

| Way to go! Nice first deer, and I hope you never get over the "buck fever". I still get excited, and I shot my first deer (8pt buck) forty-two years ago. Sounds like you knew what you were doing and did it well. The smile tells the story! And obviously the cammo was perfect. |
