Caught this big red while pre fishing the redfish cup in sabine. She measured 45". Caught it using a Catch 2000 on 15lb test. Ya, the drag system in my curado is shot. After about a 40 to 45 minute fight, I snapped a pic and watched her swim off. Given the circumstances of light tackle, size, and THE AMOUNT OF SPOTS, I do plan to get a replica mount.

| No, actually I caught her under a flock of birds in the surf. You can see the beach in the background. The surf was like glass. Birds were workin and slicks were poppin. A big surf rubber lip on light tackle...u can only imagine the fight. |
