Took my uncle and cousin offshore Saturday looking for their first Kingfish...found two shrimp boats about twelve miles out, and caught 8 kings in about an hour. They were THICK out there.
We used ribbonfish; one on a flatline and one with a 1 oz weight...they didn't sem to prefer one over the other, and most hits came as I was still letting line out
Water color was perfect Kingfish blue-green, seas 1-2 feet. _________________ I'd rather be fishing |

Great job. We only went out 10 miles a few weeks ago and couldnt find one shrimper! And every tank was moving through and not anchoring. Nice trash line but no kings. _________________ It's a good day to be alive! |
