Went out the other day and went up to my two-minute honey hole and to the south about a hundred yards I see my neighbor. Waved him and I went over North slightly and started my drift. I looked over and we were both at the same level and he drifted about a hundred or so on his side and I did on mine. We drifted along at the same rate of speed. When he got to where he was finished fishing that area he pulled up his drift sock and took off. I was drifting at the same speed with no drift sock. I thought that was pretty interesting.
Today I went out in this 25 to 30 mile an hour wind and I kept checking my gauge and I was drifting, without a sock, at .92 mph. Went out to the two minute honey hole and drifted all the way back. The water at the honey hole was UGLY! When I drifted out of the ugly water into the not so bad water that's where I found the fish. Wound up with three trout and an almost red. Almost because it went about 19 and 7/8. Lol.
Went home man did the work I've been putting off. Poured some cement today and my back is sore. Glad I fished before I poured. |
