First i would like to say hello to all the locals on the forum. It has been awhile since i have posted up, at least a couple of years. Any way i don't have any fish pictures to post. But i do have some pictures of my duck blind that some inconsiderate so and so destroyed Tuesday. I had built an addition just outside the blind including a couple of small tables/shotgun rests for convenience when i take more than 3 people. this blind has been used by many hunters over the last 15+ years without incident. For the most part all the hunters in the bluff are very respectful of others hard work.
My son and I went to hunt on Tuesday afternoon and another hunter in a kayak was occupying it at that time. We hunted nearby and watched him as he left for the evening. He left the structure in its usual state and appeared to be very respectful. When we showed up Wednesday afternoon it was again occupied but this time with a group of hunters in an airboat. The operator of the airboat left and returned later with another group of hunters, then anchored the airboat off the south side of the island. We noticed at that time that the extension had been dismantled and parts were used in their makeshift pop up blind on the west side of the island.
We were quite unhappy but rather than interrupting their hunt we chose instead to get the information from the anchored boat.
What we found was the religious organization called Promised Land Outdoors is registered to someone who did not appear to be the operator of the boat.
My nephew was able to track down the person from the organization's past hunting pictures on their website. We found the names of both the owner and co-owner (who is also the person running the hunt that afternoon) of Promised Land Outdoors. They appear to be based out of Victoria and the hunting guide from Indiana.
Keep a heads up and watch what you build out there because others will destroy your hard work without regard or reason.
I have attached pictures of the destruction and our rebuild. While others may not feel the need to show us the same I choose to be respectful and will not post the pictures of his boat.
Future posts will be of fish pics and better times.

| Sorry to see that RL. It’s a shame that common courtesy and respect for someone else’s generosity is lacking in so many folks these days. |
