A few Poling skiff owners are planning a sandbar meet-up Saturday, April 5th, at the Padre Island Ski Basin/Party Cove, just South of the P I Yacht Club. This as just an informal group of guys, mostly from the MicroSkiff Forum, that want to get some activity up and going. Most are Flyfishers, many from the late CCFlyFisher Club. Some are wanna-bees, like me. Good chance to show off your skiff, if you have one, or ogle the many different ones that might come. Time is 3 PM on, so you can fish, then stop by. No formal agenda. Just a meetup. Somewhere down the channel, on one of the sandbars. Lots of you guys have skiffs. Drop by. Bring your favorite beverage. TexasJim

We had the meet-up. Eight poling skiffs, and my tin skiff, showed up. Met some new guys, ogled their boats. All were Coastal Benders, except one guy drove down from SanTone. If it happens again, I'll post here. The long-term plan is to maybe have some (fly)fishing events. TexasJim
